Hola. Me and my wife came to Spain in 2003 (that’s 19 years ago). My wife picked up the Spanish language quick but unfortunately I struggled and still do.
I love recording high definition videos and cameras and drones and editing them and adding to my web site and you tube site. I also started Precious Memories which you can see further information on the blog pages.
This blog was started on the 21st September 2011. It is primary an information blog about living in Spain and now the Videos about Spain and the people of Spain.
We moved to Spain in May 2003 and have enjoyed ourselves staying here although we do not intend to stay here forever or do we?. Every week I will endeavour to update the blog with news and whats going with the Net Box and whats going on in here in Spain. The funny side and the serious side, the way of life here and what not to do living abroad.
The pluses and the minuses the good and the bad. Please do leave comments and feedback I need this to observe what you would like to see on the blog. Anyway just enjoy reading and watching the many videos I will post.
The Magic of Spain
There is something magical about Spain it may be the white sandy beaches that stretch for miles and miles or the all year warmth of the sun, the turquoise or the small villages dotted everywhere. What is certain that everyone who has visited the Costa Blanca and Costa Calida, has dreamed of owning a house or apartement there.
The waters in this area are among the cleanest in the world with blue flag beaches around every corner. No wonder thousands of Europeans come to reside in this area. 320 days of sunshine each year, is a lot of sunshine with temperatures over 30 degrees in the summer and normally 15/20 degrees in the winter. At night in the winter temperature drop but very seldom below 5 degrees.
Pure fresh air, a dry climate and the healthy effects of the salt lakes, is especially healthy for people suffering from asthma, arthritis and psoriasis. Living or just spending some time with your family will give you a new perspective in life. The cost of living is cheaper than most other European countries. The language is Spanish but most speak English, but it does you no harm to learn a little conversational Spanish.
